here's to the new year

With finishing up my degree, working 25+ hours a week, and attempting to maintain my sanity, I haven't been very successful with keeping up with ratgirl industries in the last couple months. While I have still been collecting new pieces for future releases, I have struggled to find time to shoot. My photography skills and equipment are also lacking, but I have been studying up on how to make the most of my iPhone 6 camera and lack of photographers to help. I don't want to settle for subpar content with the excuse of my lack of equipment. Ok, I'm done making excuses now.
Anyways, while it may be corny, I want to put my new year's resolutions out there and be able to look back on my progress throughout the year. Some of them are small, simple lifestyle changes, while others are going to take a lot of work, focus, and time management.
My 2019 New Year's Resolutions/Intentions:
1. To not wake up and instantly get on my phone. Get up! Go wash my face and brush my teeth (and FLOSS), meditate for a few minutes, and then allow myself to scroll through instagram or whatever while I'm eating breakfast, which leads to...
2. To fuel my body properly.
3. To be on time for class lol
4. To get out of my head and into my body.
5. To save all my "chillin" for the night time, right before bed.
6. To take better care of my face and body, ie. physical activities, face and hair masks, full-body exfoliating and moisturizing, etc.

7. Utilize my days off of work! days off are a great chance to relax, but an even better chance to catch up on school and ratgirl work.
8. To save $$$ - no eating out challenges, budget spreadsheet, finding cheaper alternatives and affordable hobbies, etc.
9. To not buy fast fashion at all (except underwear and socks because I cannot currently afford sustainable USA made options)
10. To treat everyone (including strangers) like a friend.
After looking over my resolutions/intentions, I'm realizing that some of them are super cliche, but it's fine. These are all things that I do often, but not as consistently as I would like. When I fail to do these things I feel my life becoming more cluttered, mentally and physically, and as a result I am more likely to lose motivation and focus. Maybe I'm being over ambitious with 10 whole resolutions but it's worth a shot.
Stay tuned for ratgirl's "Winter" release coming soon.
